Privacy and data retention

In short: this website has no accounts, no tracking cookies and no analytics. If you email us, we use your details to reply, keep them only as long as we need to, and don’t sell or share them for marketing.
Who we are
SAGE8 is a company of Steddy Ltd (“SAGE8”, “we”, “us”). We are responsible for the personal information described on this page. Questions or requests can be sent to hello@sage8.ai.
What we collect
- Information you send us. If you email us or book a consult, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you choose to tell us.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider, Vercel, automatically records standard server logs such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and keep it secure.
- Fonts. This site loads the Montserrat typeface from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google when the page loads, and Google may receive your IP address.
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not run accounts or payments on this site.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a consult.
- To provide services if you become a client.
- To keep the site secure and working.
- To meet our legal and tax obligations.
We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use it for marketing unless you ask us to.
Who we share it with
Only service providers that help us run the business, under their own privacy terms: Vercel (website hosting), Cloudflare (domain and email forwarding), and our email provider. We may also disclose information where the law requires it. Some of these providers store data outside New Zealand, including in the United States.
How long we keep it

You can ask us to delete your information earlier at any time, and we will unless the law requires us to keep it.
Client data and AI tools
If we work with you, the information you share with us stays confidential. We will agree with you in advance which tools, AI or otherwise, may be used on your information, and we will not put client data into any AI tool you haven’t approved.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information, including access controls on our accounts and encrypted connections to this site. No system is perfectly secure, and if a breach is likely to cause you serious harm we will tell you and the Privacy Commissioner as the law requires.
Your rights
Under New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Email hello@sage8.ai and we will respond within 20 working days. If you are not happy with our response you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of the page.
